■ Philippine journalist aimed at violence in Duterte‘s regime.

Winners Maria Resa and Dmitry Muratov are considered to have played a major role in protecting democracy by continuing critical reports against authoritarian regimes in the Philippines and Russia, respectively. Maria Resa is a Filipino journalist and co-founder of the Philippine online exploration media Rappler.
