양준욱 서울시의회의장,서울-모스크바 시의회교류활성화 제안
“양 도시간20여년 자매도시교류성과 미미했다“며 양도시 ‘윈윈협력분야‘ 모색하기로

<광진의소리=유윤석 기자>서울특별시의회(양준욱 의장)는 3월 24일 금요일 러시아 대사관을 방문하여 알렉산드르 안드례예비츠 티모닌 주한 러시아 대사를 만나 서울과 모스크바 간 교류에 관해 논의하는 시간을 가졌다.

서울시의회 교통위원회 성중기 부위원장과 함께 한 러시아 대사 면담 자리에서 양준욱 의장은 특히 서울시의회와 모스크바시의회 간 교류 활성화를 제안했다.

양준욱 의장은 면담을 통해 지방도시 간 교류확대 추세에 맞춰 “서울시의회와 모스크바시의회는 자매도시 의회 역사가 20년이 넘었지만 그동안의 교류가 미미했다”며 “이번 방문을 계기로 서로 대표단을 보내는 등 교류 활성화를 제안한다.”고 밝혔다.

티모닌 대사는 “서울과 모스크바가 대도시인만큼 공통적으로 관심을 가질만한 분야들이 있을 것”이라며 함께 협력할 수 있는 분야 모색을 제안했다.

양준욱 의장은 서울시의회와 모스크바시의회 간 교류 재개에 있어 러시아 대사관의 가교 역할을 요청했으며, 티모닌 대사는 이에 적극적인 지원 의사를 밝혔다.

성중기 교통위원회 부위원장은 러시아의 유명 메조소프라노인 고려인 류드밀라 남 추모공연의 서울시의회 후원을 계기로 문화 분야에서의 양 도시 간 협력 활성화에 대한 기대를 표명했다.

양준욱 의장은 향후 양 도시 의회가 윈윈할 수 있는 협력분야 모색을 시작으로 연내 교류의 물꼬를 틀 계획이다.

Suggestion for Seoul-Moscow city council exchange

The Seoul Metropolitan Council (Chairman Yang Jun-wook) visited the Russian Embassy Friday, March 24, to meet Alexander Andréjevich Timonin, the Russian Ambassador to Korea, to discuss exchanges between Seoul and Moscow.

At the meeting with the Russian Ambassador to the City of Seoul Metropolitan City Transportation Committee, Mr. Yang Jun-wook, in particular, proposed the activation of exchanges between the Seoul Metropolitan Assembly and the Moscow City Council.

In response to the growing trend of exchanges between local cities, Yang Jun-wook said, “The Seoul City Council and the Moscow City Council have more than 20 years of history in their sister city councils, but exchanges have been minimal for the time being. I suggest activation. “

“As Seoul and Moscow are big cities, there will be areas of common interest,“ Timonin said.

Chairman Yang asked for a bridge between the Seoul metropolitan council and the Moscow city council, and Timonin said he would like to support the Russian embassy.

The Vice Chairman of the Sungkyunkai Transportation Commission expressed his expectation for revitalization of cooperation between the two cities in the field of culture with the sponsorship of the Seoul Metropolitan Council of the performance of the famous Korean slave martial artist Ryu,

Yang Jun-wook plans to cooperate with each other in the year beginning with the search for cooperation fields that both city councils can win.
